If you are a high school student exploring the possibility of participating in the European Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS), please follow the communications from Tekniikan Akateemiset TEK.
How to participate in TuKoKe competition?
Are you interested in science or technology?
Make a project on your own or in a group.
Make a report on your project.
Register your project in the TuKoKe registration site tukoke.osallistumme.fi.
The deadline for the registration is the 1st of February at 23:50.
What kind of projects are accepted?
In TuKoKe there are no limits to the scientific discipline. You can choose the theme and field that interests you the most.
You can participate with
a research project
a literature review; no experimental part is required
a literary analysis
a development project
a new invention or product
a computer program – please note that you also need to submit a report explaining the use of the program and/or the importance of the project
All projects related to electricity can also be submitted to the STEK Electricity competition (STEK Sähkökisa), and all projects related to the Earth or climate can also be submitted to ESA’s Climate detectives. Both competitions run in tandem with TuKoKe and have a joint registration form.

Reporting guidelines
Your report can be
a written document
a video
a collection of images with text
or a portfolio type combination of aforementioned.
A good report provides the reader enough information to repeat what you have done
The report should have a clear structure and provide enough information for the reader to repeat the research, measurements, analyses, or steps performed during the project.
Other than the below mentioned, there are no fixed requirements for the form of the project report.
Cover page
All reports must have a cover page.
The cover page contains
the name of the project, not more than 60 characters long
date/year
information that you are participating in TuKoKe.
Please do not write your name or the name of the school on the cover page as projects are evaluated anonymously.
Name of the project should not exceed 60 characters
Please name your project concisely: use up to 60 characters (spaces included).
Abstract and short description of your project
An abstract (max. one page) and a short description of the project (max. 200 words) needs to be submitted at registration. If your report is in English, you should submit your short description in Finnish.
Length of the report
There is no minimum length for the report. In order not to strain our referees too much we have limited the maximum length of the reports. Please stay within the limit of 20 pages, including the cover page, abstract and literature list. If your project contains any additional data, tables, interview forms, source codes, etc. you can submit them in separate files.
